Our design team, created in our course, Interaction and Visual Interface Design under the instruction of John Zimmerman, was assembled to tackle the problem of designing a digital music player with a specific target market. Each team selected an issue. Ours is presented below.

Given a set of possible target market groups, our team settled on the elderly, indicating an age bracket of 65-95 years of age. Our first assumptions were that our player would be very simple, look old, have enormous buttons, and higher volume. We of course found by the end of our process that our assumptions were certainly not safe. The process was much more complex than we anticipated and involved a heavy amount of user research. After a in depth process, our final design was created. Please take a walk through our design process to see how we came to our final design.
