Blog Website Redesign

After completing an affinity diagram (pictured right), and reviewing a contextual inquiry, our team produced a series of information models which included a set of breakdowns. For example, our flow model (58.6 KB) details the interactions between all entities related to the blog and the user. The breakdowns that arose from these evaluations led to the focus of our project; editing, formatting, and inserting photos into blog posts. After arriving at our redesign focus, we conducted heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, and reviewed think aloud sessions with a main focus on blog creation and picture insertion. With the information gathered from these different research methods, we designed an image insertion and editing tool to ease the difficulty current users encountered when taking on this task.
